Several Fascinations last month
My brother's best friend Santo, came to visit us in Singapore during the New Year.
And as good Singapore tourist guide, we took him to several places.
Of course we took him to MAKAN!
One of the things we took him to, was to eat tissue prata.
He missed it, as he used to live in K and frequented the mamak stalls often.
To be honest, that was the first time I saw tissue prata looking like a teepee tent.
Pretty cool eh??
But not much to eat though. kosong inside.
We ate various things lah, Jerry's spicy wings, carrot cake, cha kway teow, blah blah..
but eating aside.. We took him clubbing.. DUH! Where else could Marcelly go to?
So, since I love love St James, I openned a table at its Gallery Bar, a bottle of VSOP and we were on our way for a long clubbing tour.
Gallery Bar is a pretty good centralised place to open a table at St James if you cannot decide which genre of music you really wanna go for.
It's like this visual fish tank where you can walk around and peep at the happenings of the other clubs around you.
You can walk to Bellini that plays fabulous swing/jazz, or peep at Boiler Room with babelicious RnB and hip hop dancers.. where I spotted Hady Mirza singing with his ex band on the 29th of Dec.
You can also peep at the much famed DragonFly, which plays canto pop at its fullest. With full back up dancers that rotate and change costume for every freaking songs. UIt's like Canto cabaret mang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But they should play more cheesy old Hokkien songs and darn ah lian diu diu diu Canto pops lah.. I like ..heh heh..
Then you can peep at Movida that has Salsa live band!
Here's sexy Dr Tang.
Mr Gan and me, aiyohhhhhhhhh that night I looked so slim and prettyyyy..=p
Here's Dragon Fly, taken from Gallery Bar, It's hard to get into Dragonfly as it is,
Gordon told me that I need to call him like 2 weeks beforehand if want to secure a table.
WTH..
But it's really the most packed club in St James.
Worth the one hour queue on weekends!!!!
Well done Mr Dennis Foo!!!!!!!!!
Here's Red red Santo, Mr Gan and my lovely brother.
Oh oh.. and when I sang over Christmas eve at Paulaner's,
I was a santarina..
Heh Heh....
Ah Santarina and her man.
By the way, I am taking a break from singing.
Maybe a few one-off gigs here and there but nothing regular anymore.
Kinda busy with other stuffs also, including handling the sharp boom in the public's interest in land banking (amazing) and also my first own musical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am working on it!!!! The music's half done and the script's on its final revision.
I am presenting it to Esplanade real soon!!! With people like Robert Yeo, Stella Kon, Phillip Sim and Dr Kenneth Lyen at my back.. I think I am very blessed and well guided.
I should be having the unplugged preview sessions where we sing the songs in March at Esplanade concourse.
GAMBATTE Marcelly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JIA YOU!!!!!!
With that, I hope everyone else is getting what they want in life too!!
Cause right now, I think I have everything I've always wanted. And I'll keep ploughing!
A great career, a happy family, a good man and my beloved friends...
Cheerio!!
